Here's the famous Jump the Shark site, and its entry for The Hollywood Squares, even if the entry is replete with rude, non-fan comments ("...the show always blew nuts...") and outright inaccuracies (Nipsey Russell as the center square? Paul Lynde fired by NBC daytime president Lin Bolen? Don't think so...)
Here's a doozy of an urban legend (at least in my opinion) that seems to tie The Hollywood Squares in with the big Y2K anxiety of a few years ago...personally I'm not buying it but I still thought it was interesting...

If you grew up when The Hollywood Squares was on NBC, and you left the TV on that channel when Squares was over, you might just hav eseen another true legend...Jeopardy! hosted in those days by Art Fleming (who I spoke to on the phone during his St. Louis radio days.)
