| As Jeopardy! and The Price is Right proved, you can't keep a good game down...Old games never die, they just find new players. Sometimes they even morph with other games, as The Hollywood Squares did with Match Game 7x. The result was the bizarre and shortlived Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour (1983-84). In 1986, The New Hollywood Squares devoted a syndicated half-hour once again to that format; it lasted three years. The most successful revival, Hollywood Squares, premiered in 1998 and lasted for six full seasons. And in 2012, it was reincarnated again on MTV2 as Hip Hop Squares. Click on the show titles to see the pages I've devoted to each version. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
